  • Australian Jamboree: Every 3 years, in a different state or territory in Australia
  • World Jamboree: Every 4 years, in a different country each time

No matter the level, every Jamboree is like building a small city from scratch — complete with:

  • Entertainment arenas, marketplaces, media hubs, and medical centres
  • On-site and off-site activities for every interest
  • Thousands of people camping, cooking, and exploring together
  • A unique cultural mix you can’t find anywhere else

💡 Why They Matter

Australian, World, and Regional Jamborees give Scouts the chance to:

  • Push their limits and try new challenges
  • Build independence and leadership skills
  • Experience new cultures and make friends from all over the world
  • Be part of something huge, exciting, and inspiring

🌏 Jamboree

A Jamboree is the ultimate Scouting camp — a massive gathering of Scouts, Venturers, Rovers, and Leaders that happens at Australian, World, and Regional levels. It’s a chance to live, learn, and play in a mini-city built just for Scouts, packed with adventure activities, cultural exchanges, and unforgettable experiences.

🏕️ What is a Jamboree?

At an Australian Jamboree, Scouts from every state and territory meet every three years. World Jamborees bring together tens of thousands of Scouts from over 150 countries every four years. Regional Jamborees (like Asia-Pacific) connect Scouts from neighbouring countries for a unique cultural and adventure-filled camp.

🏹 What Happens There?

On-site activities might include:

  • High ropes, abseiling, and climbing walls
  • Water activities and obstacle courses
  • Robotics, coding, and creative arts
  • Cultural exchange hubs and global friendship tents

Off-site adventures could be:

  • Local sightseeing and tourist attractions
  • Community service projects
  • Regional exploration and cultural immersion

Evening entertainment brings everyone together for:

  • Opening and closing ceremonies
  • Live music, comedy, and talent shows
  • Games nights, movie screenings, and cultural performances
