Cuboree

๐ŸšถCub Section Adventure Camp

Cuboree is the New South Wales flagship event for Cubs (agesโ€ฏ8-11) taking place approximately every 3 years.

๐Ÿ•๏ธ What’s Cuboree?

Cuboree is a 5-day standing camp for Cub Scouts. It brings Cub Packs from all over NSW together for big adventures, heaps of activities, and lots of new friends. It’s designed to be fun, safe, inclusive, and a huge step in confidence and independence for Cubs.

๐Ÿ“…  When & Where?

Cuboree is typically held at Cataract Scout Park (Cataract Activity Centre), south of Sydney, with the last Cuboree held 29 Sept – 3 Oct 2023. Dates and themes change for each event, but the format stays similar.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ How It Works

Cubs camp in Cuboree Units with their Leaders and Adult Helpers. Activities run in sessions across the five days, and each unit looks after its own campsite routine (meals, gear, tidy camp) with support from Leaders. Junior Service Leaders (Scouts) and Venturers/Rovers help run the action.

๐ŸŽ‰ Why It’s Awesome

  • Loads of program bases: from climbing and obstacle courses to tech, craft, and team challenges.
  • Make mates: thousands of Cubs camping together = instant friendships.
  • Grow skills: leadership, teamwork, and “have-a-go” confidence — all through the Cub Scout program.

๐Ÿฆ˜ Who Can Go?

  • Cubs in the age range for the Cub section (generally 8–11).

  • Eligibility for youth helpers (Scouts/Venturers) includes minimum age and experience (e.g., recommended Milestone/OAS levels). Check the latest criteria when registrations open.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Costs & Registration

Fees vary by event (youth, Leaders, Adult Helpers). Registrations and info are posted on the Cuboree website when the next Cuboree is announced. If you can’t find what you need online, use the contact details provided on the site.
